Sophie in a nutshell
I myself was a school student, sitting exams not so long ago so am very familiar with the process you (or your child) is going through.

I specialise in Biology tutoring (GCSE and A level) receiving a 9 in biology GCSE (in 2020) and an A in A levels (in 2022). I now study biomedical sciences at Newcastle university, so have a well rounded knowledge of biology and other science subjects.

Initial tutor appointments would involve an in depth discussion with yourself (the student), in which we discuss what you hope to gain out of the tutoring sessions, how you best learn and which areas specifically you require additional practice and support.

I aim to make all sessions engaging and add a fun spin of typically biology lessons, using creative techniques to make content memorable. As a naturally empathetic person, sessions will also provide support for you, from a like minded person, recently in your shoes. I have a wide range of resources remaining from my own studies, as well as being creative and tech savvy, meaning I will produce several visual aids that can be used in the sessions and given to students for their own personal access during revision periods.

I am DBS checked and have diverse experience working with children and young adults.
