Sophie Ahmed

I have over 10 years experience in piano and keyboard tuition working with many established music schools in the area along the way.
I have been taught Yamaha teaching methods through a Yamaha Music School and have additional teacher training at Aura Music Academy a music school in Wilmslow and Altrincham.
I have completed my music degree in 2014 specialising in Popular Music Performance at the University of Chester so I have experience in playing in bands and also as a solo artist.
My musical journey started when I was 8 years old learning keyboards in primary school, then I started classical piano at the age of 14 where I learned more traditional methods of playing. It wasn’t until I started college is where I felt more passionate in performing and composing popular music and started to grow musically.
I then completed my Grade 8 ABRSM piano and also my Grade 8 Rockschool piano which I gained in order to go to University.
I’m very open minded when it comes to what you want to play musically. Whether it’ll be a sonata or a pop solo piece I can help you get towards your musical goals.
