My lessons are prepared in advance with secondary school teacher-level detail. After initially meeting a student and getting to know their intentions and specific ways of learning, I will test which methods of learning are suitable for you to find the perfect path to becoming a successful learner.

My lessons are prepared in advance with secondary school teacher-level detail. After initially meeting a student and getting to know their intentions and specific ways of learning, I will test which methods of learning are suitable for you to find the perfect path to becoming a successful learner.

The lessons themselves will contain starter activities/questions linking to the previous lesson's content, then proceed onto the next part of the course where we will talk about the content together to make sure there is understanding. Once the student feels confident, we will move on to an activity that can consist of questions, quizzes, and other challenges to ensure understanding.

The lessons will change depending on how much has been learned, some lessons can become study periods where I can provide a space for focus and concentration and be there for the student if they need any help with questions and/or content. These can be discussed and confirmed with the student if they feel they are ready.
To make sure the student feels ready/confident with the content, I can provide checklists of what had been taught that the student can use to find their strengths and areas of development that can be discussed in other lessons.

My experience consists of 3 placements in different secondary schools where I have taken over the lesson planning and content of the lessons of classes with a max of 20 pupils in each. An important part of lesson planning was making sure there was differentiation and inclusion thoroughly thought through to ensure every pupil is becoming a successful learner.
