I have had experience tutoring a variety of different ages, so I can provide different types of lessons depending on the age. The lessons will be based on what my student is struggling with, and I will work through examples to them and try to present them in an understandable way. However I also like the student to tell me what they find helpful so I can adapt my lessons to best suit them! I am also able to incorporate fun activities and games to make lessons much more entertaining for a younger child :)
I will make sure to begin by explaining the content briefly to the student. Then I will demonstrate how to use the basic skills of the topic to do a simple practice question. I will then give them a similar question to check if they have understood the example. If they still are unable to do this, we will continue to do more simple examples until they find they are confident enough to begin to tackle harder, and more wordy questions of the topic, in order to best prepare them for any tricky questions they might find on a test.
