I would like to make the students way of learning easier and more relaxed for them.
I am a past history student and understand how much content there is to learn and the amount of skills you need to write a perfect essay.
Although getting only a high B in my A level I believe this is due to me finding the right technique too late, so i would love to be able to help students find out what works for them faster to get the best results possible.
My teaching method will start with the first lesson just getting to know the student; the eras they are studying, how the usually revise and what they struggle with when learning.
I will then adapt that into a structured plan, with every lesson focusing on a new topic. I will also set essay questions to answer; either expecting an essay plan or an essay in its entirety. This depends on the student’s strengths and weaknesses.
I hope my calm yet firm teaching methods will help the student improve with little stress and frustration, overall improving their grades and social life.
Experience:
- I received a predicted grade of a 6 in 2020 for my GCSEs
- I also received a B in a level history
- I am now studying politics and international relations at university, with modules being incredibly history based
- My a level results overall was ABB with an A in politics and a B in history and media studies.
