I teach by using trial and improvement and interactive use of a shared whiteboard. I will often start my lesson by explaining a concept or topic on the whiteboard, and then to check my student's understanding, I will give them an example question. If the student understands, I ask them to explain how they got to the correct answer, if the student is struggling, I talk them through a pre-prepared worked through answer so that they can see how I would get to the correct conclusion. I then continue throughout a lesson to use this method of teaching until the student feels confident in the topic.
