I have a relaxed teaching approach, often student-guided to tackle the key areas they need assistance with. I am approachable and will happily walk through any tricky areas step by step. if required, this will then be accompanied with exam-style questions to fully prepare the student for their exams.

I love to use colourful and exciting diagrams to help visually explain the subject areas I am teaching. I believe it is very important to build a friendly and comfortable relationship between student and teacher so they are able to question and get the most out of a lesson!

One student that stands out in particular achieved above her target grades for GCSE after our lessons for 6 months. She was predicted B/Cs and ended up with A/A*s in sciences! She therefore carried Biology and Chemistry on to AS level, something she originally never thought she could do. Two of my other students also achieved their target grades to aid them getting into their desired 6th form college.

I have been fortunate enough to have travelled around the world, so I am excited for the opportunity to meet new people and assist with English as a foreign language as well. I am happy to assess the level that the student is at and work together at the a pace suitable and to make the student feel comfortable.
