I treat everyone as the individual that they are and allow them the chance to learn in their own particular way. I encourage imagination and creativity in my lessons, along with a certain amount of structure.
I see English and creative writing as an art form and it should be something to be enjoyed and relished, and not something that is dry and stuffy. A good command of English can get people a long way in daily interaction as well as obtaining employment and being able to articulate to others when interacting.
Helping people to express themselves in language and writing is my forte. So I am happy to work with people who find their confidence is low when it comes to expressing themselves through vocal or the written word. Coaching people to assist them with exams or filling in forms or resumes, or if they wish to go into the world of writing in general.
I particularly like working with people who may find it difficult to express themselves because of learning difficulties. Things like dyslexia need not hold you back. I myself have dyslexia and I have overcome this enough to have several books published to date, and to teach English. So I can really help people who feel that their learning difficulties are overwhelming, and give them the confidence they need to step out into the world and make their mark in the way that they want to.
I have 20 years of experience working with coaching people to be their best. I would like to see that happen for you.
