During the last four years I have been working as a software engineer for big tech companies in the UK and Greece. I also have a master’s degree in Data Science and Analytics.
I believe that even if someone is not directly interested in a career in computing, there is a lot to gain from learning algorithms and computer logic as a very significant part of our every day life is now based on computers.
The lectures for beginners start with programming fundamentals and logic. Exercises initially include mathematical and logical problems depending on the level of each student and together we explore how these can be solved with the help of a computer. As students advance we start exploring more complex algorithms and technologies and soon we begin to look at methods and principles used today in the tech industry to create and hold this enormous and constantly expanding online universe.
I prefer working together with the students and try to understand their unique way of thinking as most exercises have many solutions and everyone can take a different path that is closer to their own logical thinking.
In the past, I have also taught O and A levels maths, statistics and physics which I would be delighted to do again. Past students are now studying at accredited UK universities in various subjects, such as Engineering, chemistry and mathematics.
Last but not least, I am looking for other engineers and business consultants to help me develop business ideas focused on helpful services to small businesses and the public so please do not hesitate to contact me if you are interested in getting involved in a business and collaborate.
