During our first session I will carry out various tasks (writing, listening, speaking and reading). I will use these tasks to understand the areas we will need to work on by noting down errors or areas of uncertainty. From there, we will strengthen these areas through consolidation tasks and we will also try to strengthen everything else. We will work on building a wider vocabulary in the language through weekly vocabulary tests as learning words regularly is a crucial part of language learning. I have personally had experience being tutored and I understand the importance of issues in understanding being identified before anything else and I highly value a safe environment between the tutor and the tutee in which the tutee feels able to ask questions when uncertain, regardless of how obvious they may feel. I have had experience in helping my friends who have struggled with Spanish and they have caught up reasonably quickly, and my experience of being tutored means that I now understand how to create a safe environment for learning. I hope that I can be of help to those struggling with Spanish.
