As an Argentinian Spanish teacher, I believe I have an unique point of view for teaching this language. My classes are dynamic, relaxed and conversational. I believe the student always has something important to say and add to the class, and I try to learn from them as much as they can learn from me.
I will show you the History of this complex language, its structures, vocabulary, the different ways of speaking (and avoiding misunderstandings!) and how learning it can enrich your way of life and views of the world.
Learning another language can feel frustrating sometimes, especially one as complex as Spanish. I'm a very patient teacher. There will be zero judgement in my classes. My main goal is for the student to feel safe and free to express any doubts and inquiries that they may feel. If experience has taught me anything, is that there's not one correct way of speaking Spanish (or any language, really) but many, all enriched by one's experience.
I will be teaching Neutral Spanish (Latin American) as a base. That way, you will have a general understanding on Spanish as a whole and in ways most Spanish speakers will understand.
As well as the language, I can show you the wonders of reading Latin American and Spanish literature in its native tongue, and how reading a book in the writer's own language can be a very different experience than reading a translated version. Language and Literature go hand in hand.
Classes in the afternoons. Virtual format only.
