Hi! I'm Sofia, and I'm a university student currently enrolled in a medical genetics course. I teach courses in the field of natural sciences, mostly biology, which is the field I'm most passionate about. Since Spanish is my mother tongue, I also offer classes for this subject as well.
I have a 10-year-old sister, and I've always been the one to assist her with schoolwork. I help her with her homework comprehension and test preparation. She's young, therefore I don't apply the same learning strategies I do for myself. She has a shorter attention span, therefore I usually use flashcards, learning games, and simple diagrams.
Thanks to my experience with a range of software programmes, such as the Microsoft Office Pack, Kahoot, Canva, Quizlet, and many others, I am able to create presentations, summaries, diagrams, learning games, and a variety of other materials for use in my classes.
Lastly, being a current student at university and having assisted my younger sister with her studies for many years, I can assist and understand the demands of other students of different ages. I'm confident I have the means and ability to help each one of my students using a variety of strategies that will best meet their individual needs.
