I am an Italian native having moved to England a few years ago. While I was in Italy, I’ve spent 8 years tutoring students and adults alike, helping them with a wide variety of subjects (mostly English and Italian language, but also History, Latin, Arts). I also have a CEDILS, which is a certification of competence in teaching Italian as a foreign language or second language.
I am very adaptable, depending on the level and the needs on my students we can see what would be the best approach that works for them. I encourage trying, and I never judge anyone's mistakes (because they are sign of learning). While I think having a solid grammar base is important in order to use a language, I also like to alternate with more fun stuff, such as music, videos and so on.
My lessons have usually been in presence, which is my favourite format, but I'm more than fine with online lessons as well.
