Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s degree at the London School of Economics (LSE), having previously graduated with a Honor Bachelor‘s degree from China Foreign Affairs University. Through my academic journey, I gained a solid understanding of second language acquisition (SLA) theories and the pedagogical approaches necessary for effective language instruction. These theoretical insights have been pivotal in shaping my teaching methods, enabling me to craft engaging and effective lesson plans tailored to individual learning styles.

During my time as an online assistant tutor at the Confucius Institute at University of French Polynesia, I delivered language instruction and facilitated cultural exchange sessions for over 20 students of varying age groups and proficiency levels. I designed interactive lessons that integrated both language learning and cultural insights, helping students build a deeper connection to Mandarin while developing practical language skills. In particular, I used Chinese calligraphy as a tool to blend cultural education with linguistic proficiency, fostering an engaging environment that sparked curiosity and sustained interest.

My experience in adapting content to suit diverse learner needs, combined with my strong communication skills, allows me to provide personalized feedback that helps students monitor their progress and achieve their goals. I am confident in my ability to create an enjoyable and productive learning experience that goes beyond language, encompassing a holistic understanding of Chinese culture.
