I like to teach while being able to see each others faces. I think it's important to be able to gauge what's being understood and what's difficult to understand this way and work with the individual rather than the problem. I believe most of what people struggle with isn't the problem but the language involved in the problem. I also use a whiteboard to write and explain visually the things I'm explaining. I think the best way to convey topics that someone is struggling with, is to be genuine and work through it step by step in an encouraging way rather than to condescend or to invalidate. Ultimately I want to create a fun safe space to teach and learn and hopefully through our encounters we can both grow.
