My name is Sini and I am a third-year medical student at the University of Plymouth. I have been tutoring A-level students for the past three years and have had experience working as a teaching assistant for a year 5 class.
I am a friendly and welcoming individual and how to share my passion of learning and teaching. I like to make my sessions as interactive as possible and make sure foundations are covered before adding things.
In our first lesson, I would like to understand which topics the student would like to cover. If they are unsure, I’ll give them an exam paper to gauge where they are at and assess their strengths and weaknesses. Following from the first lesson, I like having structured lessons where we will learn about a particular topic and follow this up with exam-style questions. I believe tutoring should be student-led and am happy to adapt to the student’s needs.
