I am a dedicated aspiring primary school teacher, studying Primary Education with a QTS. My unwavering passion for working with children has driven me to seek this opportunity as an assistant teacher, and I believe I am the right candidate for this role for several reasons.
My academic background in primary education equips me with a solid foundation in educational principles and practices. This knowledge provides me with the necessary framework to effectively assist in lesson planning and support students in their classwork, ensuring a conducive learning environment.
Furthermore, my experience at a local primary school has allowed me to demonstrate my commitment to helping children succeed. I have actively contributed to after-school clubs, where I've patiently assisted children in overcoming academic challenges and completing homework assignments. This hands-on experience underscores my dedication to their academic growth.
In addition, my involvement in Place2Be mentoring, under the guidance of my mentor, has provided me with invaluable insights into nurturing positive relationships with younger children. Building a strong bond with them, I have fostered an environment where they feel comfortable sharing any issues they may face, whether related to school or personal matters.
As a mentor, or volunteer teacher, I like to push my students to the best of their abilities, however I absolutely do not like to make them feel like they’re under pressure. I believe they work better when they are comfortable and free with who they are with. It is always okay to make mistakes, and learn new things!
