The content of my lessons is varied, and reflects my 30 years' experience in the Interior Design industry in the UK and overseas.
The lessons are suitable for any level of experience and can be tailored to suit the needs of the student, in order to get the most out of the learning outcomes.
I have lectured in the subject at university level and so understand the pedagogical techniques which bring out the best in a student. We can start at the beginning to learn the basics of measured drawing and understand how to draw a space using scale. Interior design often involves the reuse of existing buildings, so we set a project (sometimes it can be a live project) which allows us to take a project through from beginning to end to better understand how the design process works.
The lessons are creative, experimental and engaging as we experience the various methods of delivering your ideas - you will be set tasks to complete which we will review in a creative and positive way, ensuring that the student understands what works in their design and how to move it forward. We can do this through screen-share, where I can also demonstrate
At the end of the lesson series (numbers of lessons may vary depending on experience), the student will have a kit of tools which they can use on their next projects.
