I begin by selecting a set of questions to serve as an aptitude test to gauge their level. Following from this I use a range of techniques including worksheets, past-paper questions, discussions and student led sessions to consolidate and reinforce understanding of more challenging topics. I like to tailor my teaching style to each student whether they be visual or verbal learners, but in general...
I begin by selecting a set of questions to serve as an aptitude test to gauge their level. Following from this I use a range of techniques including worksheets, past-paper questions, discussions and student led sessions to consolidate and reinforce understanding of more challenging topics. I like to tailor my teaching style to each student whether they be visual or verbal learners, but in general tend to stay away from presentations and work through solutions step-by-step allowing questions and queries to be addressed there and then. I also advocate for intensive revision periods which always prove beneficial to boost confidence before as examinations draw near.
