Simone Douglas

I graduated from Edge Hill University in 2016 with a 2:1 degree in Primary English Education (with QTS) and immediately began my teaching career in the following September. During my career I have primarily taught Key Stage 2 and have undertaken multiple roles and responsibilities throughout my current employment. I have acted as subject leader for Geography, wherein I have designed and implemented a whole school curriculum, created an all through curriculum with the secondary school, attended Middle Leaders and curriculum development training and have developed many school resources for fellow teachers and support staff to use. Another responsibility that I have undertaken is administering the Year 4 Multiplication checks, a task that I have conducted within the years and 2018. I am familiar with working to strict deadlines and thoroughly enjoy operating within a teaching team striving toward an overall school goal. Outside of my career, my interests include; running, figure skating and fitness, baking, reading for pleasure and socialising with my friends. I describe myself as an outgoing, enthusiastic and determined individual, ready to embrace the next challenge in my career. I am currently studying my masters degree in education at Birmingham City University and would love the opportunity to further my career as a tutor whilst I study.
