In teaching English, I have a supportive classroom presence and am able to respond to student contributions in an engaged and helpful manner.

I have a CELTA level 5.

I can teach with or without a course-book. I can tailor to the student's needs with conversation practice, grammar learning, vocabulary updates etc. All done with exercises, games, and quizes that will help the learner.

Whilst training for CELTA, according to my tutor, I “was able to make sensible judgements with regard to the timing of lesson stages and to design his own contexts for the language focus and also had good ideas to promote student practice of new language”.

Separately, I have a lot of ‘life experience’ and spent many years working in the international business publishing industry and I can teach how to make effectiive sales and marketing material, how to make a business plan, P&L reports and sales forecasts. I also have industry experience in media, telecoms and energy if needed.
