Simon Robbs

I have been working in the live music industry for over 20 years in many roles. Starting off as a guitar tutor after completing my degree in Popular Music, I went on to become a session guitarist where I toured and recorded for several artists in the UK and the rest of the world. For many years I dovetailed this with my work as a composer, working on several short films and in production music. I have continued in live music as a tour manager, co-ordinator and production manager, working in all levels of music touring.
My teaching style is aimed towards quick results so a student can be satisfied with learning to play something that sounds great even when very early in their practise. I also try and consider techniques that are relevant to playing in live music, whether it being as a soloist or in a band.

Previous clients include the BBC, and several people in the media notably being Gary Neville's guitar teacher for a number of years
