The lessons themselves are always relaxed and down-to-earth. I cover a huge range of subjects and depending on the needs of the student we can explore everything from history and theory to practical tutorials on how to use certain software or even how to prepare something for print.
The lessons are also practical and hands-on from the start. Most of the time students will learn by doing, working on projects that I assign based on what they're hoping to master.
We will then use these projects to discuss and explore the theory of design, to think about how little things can vastly improve the outcome of a project, and also practically sharpen skills.
I take a holistic approach to my lessons, and so I always try to show students how the things I'm teaching them work together to make them a better graphic designer and how improving in areas which may seem unimportant can help them become more skilled overall.
Lessons can be in-person or online, and are tailored accordingly. If they are in-person then we will go on the occasional outing to explore art and design out in the world and think about how it's used in everyday situations to make life easier for people.
Overall, I aim provide lessons that are fun but also in-depth, relaxed but also intensive, with me you'll learn a lot and become a great graphic designer before you know it!
