I will endeavour to provide students with strong progressive values and intellectual rigour, in order to negate remaining prejudices, such as racism and misogyny. I want to promote innovation, risk taking, citizenship, tolerance and academic rigour. As well as my current subject responsibilities (History & Politics), I am passionate about providing enriching extra-curricular opportunities, particularly in the field of enrichment such as debating, public speaking & ambitious field trips.

Major achievements 1/ Head of Horizons (Horizons has been nominated consecutively 2018 & 2019 & 2020 for ISAL awards being shortlisted for the “Pathways to University” category 2/ I/C COBiS World Debating Champions 2016 & 2017 (Mexico City & Malaga) 3/ I/C COBiS Winston Churchill Cup Debating Champions 2018 (Bucharest) & I/C COBiS Winston Churchill Cup Debating Finalists 2016 (Bucharest) 4/ I/C COBiS World Debating Semi Finalist (The Hague & Dubai & Malaga) 5/ I/C COBiS World Debating Finalist 2013 (Prague) 6/ I/C Malaga "Young Journalists of the Year" (2018) 7/ History - Pearsons Highest Score in Europe (2015) 8/ History - Pearsons Highest Score in the Europe (2015) & History - Pearsons Highest Score in the World (2017 & 18) 9/ All students attained 100/100 marks; with all also attaining "raw" grades of 50/50 (Russia in Revolution ) for their AS Examination sat in the spring examination window (2021) 10 / I/C 2022 COBiS World Debating Finalist (65 schools) & Showcase Finalist (judged by delegates at the COBiS Conference In London) 11/ I/C 2022 World Debate Mate Finalists

My track record can be attributed to several factors; however, leading by example and genuine enthusiasm are integral to my success. History should promote a love for the past and how that past influences us and shapes our mindset and identity. I take great pride in encouraging students to participate in debate and discussion. Students should be encouraged to show off their abilities and ask challenging questions. The History graduating class of 2022 remarkably achieved full marks for the external Pearson IAL History.
