I have tutored with Explore Learning for over a year, and I am currently a childcare assistant (1 year) , where I travel and work at different nurseries and primary schools every week.

My lessons would involve powerpoints and questions (given that you provide me with the topic of focus) and I would share feedback at the end of every session. If no topic is provided beforehand, the lessons will be more generic based on the child’s age and year group.

I tend to focus on positive reinforcements such as praising correct methods, reasonable attempts and hard work as well as correct answers. An important value of mine is to not discourage efforts, within reason, as to not discourage attempts in education in the future.

I received a grade 9 in my own GCSE Maths, grade 8 in GCSE Further Maths and a Grade A in A-Level Maths. Additionally I have been entered into maths competitions annually where I had received Gold a few times, and platinum (entered into the next level of the competition) twice.
