I am an enthusiastic and creative tutor who is highly passionate about Maths, English and Science. Previously, I have mentored students in a classroom environment, enabling them to achieve their very best and remain fully engaged within the lessons. I was able to provide them 1 to 1 support where necessary and I also learnt how to adapt my teaching methods to get the best out of the students. Furthermore, I have also mentored a student in Year 10, who needed extra support before their mocks. Together we were able to work through several practice questions and fill in any gaps. For each of my students I create a simple and effective plan. This helps me pinpoint what topics need more of a focus so that my student leaves the session feeling like they have made the best use of their time. Every student has their own way of learning, and as tutor it is my responsibility to recognise that and use it to our advantage. As I have previously mentioned, I take great joy in teaching and Maths is something I enjoy a lot, hence why I decided to pursue it as an A-level. Mentoring my younger sibling with English and Science has also given me the confidence to help others. I also have access to a wide range of resources for all of these subjects and will be able to share these with my students as I truly believe that practice makes perfect, which is why I do alot of it with my students.
