With over 14 years of experience teaching both adults and young people, I am passionate about inspiring students to appreciate the art and science of catering.
My background enables me to engage a diverse range of learners, including those with mental health challenges, disabilities, and learning difficulties.
I hold high expectations for student achievement and behaviour, which is especially crucial in a kitchen environment where safety, cleanliness, and teamwork are paramount. I closely monitor students’ progress, providing tailored support to ensure they fully grasp course content and remain actively engaged in their learning.
Promoting healthy eating, creative use of spices, and cooking with nutrient-dense ingredients on a budget has been central to my teaching. My classes are designed to be inclusive and accessible, catering to all ages and abilities. I have seen firsthand how cooking can be a therapeutic tool, helping students develop confidence, focus, and creativity.
As the owner of a successful catering business and cookery school for 15 years, I have honed my leadership and organisational skills, thriving under pressure while delivering engaging, hands-on classes. My ability to foster strong relationships with students and staff has been key to my success.
