Silvia Martinelli

My name is Silvia, I'm a native Italian speaker with a Master's Degree in Translation and 10 years of experience as a language tutor and translator. European languages and cultures are my passion. Teaching makes me happy, as nothing is more special to me than connecting on a personal level with my students and watching them progress. I work with languages daily, as I'm also a translator, which means I engage with British culture and Italian culture at the same time, keeping updated.

My journey as an Italian teacher and tutor started at university 10 years ago and I've never looked back! I have worked as a freelancer and for language schools at different times. I am experienced with both children (starting with primary school-age children) and adults, in either small classrooms or one-to-one sessions. My teaching style is very relaxed, I think that learning should be fun and engaging for the student (as well as the teacher).
