On my subject, I have a masters degree from the University of Sheffield in zoology, studied cockroach sexual dimorphism in an internship and am currently undergoing a PhD studying bee cognition. I have some experience tutoring in the past, and I carry that experience forward.
My expertise is primarily in animal behaviour, evolution and cognition, but I am still experienced and trained in other aspects of biology, such as anatomy and botany.
The content will be tailored to your specific curriculum, and I will aim to discuss any subjects you are having difficulty understanding and hopefully elucidate them. The specifics will vary based on the level of the student, but the aim per session will be to first discuss the subject matter, then cover any flaws or gaps in the students understanding. At the end I will assign some questions, and we will discuss the answers and, if the student had difficulty, how that difficulty came about and how m to eliminate it.
I have found that the difference between confusion and understanding often is simply the right perspective to look at an issue, and I will aim to help you find that perspective. This may take some trial and error, but I've found that when it clicks, it clicks very well.
