My lessons are rooted in my extensive experience as a women's advocate and social worker, drawing on real-world knowledge from my work with young women facing violence and women in the criminal justice system. I take a holistic, trauma-informed approach, aiming to build relationships with my students and create a supportive learning environment.
My teaching methods focus on identifying students’ strengths and knowledge, then building from there. Lessons are highly interactive, with discussions that bring in perspectives from diverse scholars, and the opportunity to explore topics like intersectionality, sociology, and social justice.
I also offer diversity and inclusion talks, sharing insights from my experiences within social systems and the criminal justice system. My goal is to make learning meaningful by connecting theory with real-world applications
