Hi, I'm Sid, soon to be a first year student at Imperial College London for Electrical/Electronic Engineering. I offer tuition for KS3 and GCSE students in Maths, Physics, English and Geography.
I have achieved A*A*A*A in my A levels in Maths, Farther Maths, Physics and Geography, and all 9s (A*+) in my GCSEs, so my tutoring comes from my own experience.
I utilise active recall in my teaching methods, starting off with information-heavy lessons and testing throughout, especially towards the end, and my lessons are personalised and catered to each of my individual students' learning styles, weaknesses and strengths.
I am very enthusiastic and personable and I have experience in teaching and mentoring younger students at school and have delivered science lessons in primary schools before.
I can teach online or in-person within a radius of around 10-12 miles. If online, I use Zoom and can prepare Powerpoint Presentations and use certain online resources to help the student learn - I have access to textbooks I used myself in my GCSEs and can help the student use the online versions of them or recommend questions from these books as practice.
The lessons will be structured, where I'll first try and understand what there main wider targets are and there biggest areas of weakness and make a step-by-step plan for different topics to cover and split up the agenda into smaller learning targets that I expect them to meet and than they can work focusedly on each of them. This way the student will not get overwhelmed and the teaching will be more efficient.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to let me know.
