My lessons are online and typically use Zoom and will be 45 minutes. Pen and paper would be required and I will have different style questions prepared for the different topics explaining basic mathematics principles through a whiteboard feature. I will also have a word document with questions prepared. I will also use pen and paper when I need to explain or show a method in futher detail. Depending on each student I will cater the lessons to your learning style by either drawings and objects (visual), videos and worded instructions (auditory) or whatever else may suit your needs. We will go through the first part of the questions together and what methods are needed to answer the questions in the topic. Once we have gone through questions together and feel more confident, I will have questions prepared for you, or make the questions as we go to suit your learning needs, to go through individually, assessing the answers together after each question. Depending on your confidence on the topic I will be happy to go through topics as many times as you need! My experience as a Key-stage 2 maths tutor has been enjoyable as I always keep an optimistic outlook throughout my lessons and try and implement enthusiasm towards the topics that I am teaching so that my students can follow in the same footsteps. I have always believed that it is crucial to engage and connect with students even before and this what i would like to do. This is to discuss what topics you would like to learn and to get to know me so that the first lesson can go as smoothly as possible!
