I try my best to make learning engaging and enjoyable for my students because I know that they are more likely to retain concepts and principles if they are having a good time!

During your first session with me, we will have the chance to know each other before we dive into learning. I'll ask what your interests are, what you hope to gain from these lessons and what topics/ concepts you would like to spend more time on; I will use this information to tailor lesson plans to your needs and interests.

Lessons will start with a short brain game to get us warmed up and recap past lessons. Then, I'll spend ~20mins teaching the lesson, stopping every so often to check that you understand the concepts, before moving on. After I have explained the lesson, I'll give you a chance to ask questions and we'll discuss them before we move on to the lesson activities/tasks. We will work through a few of the tasks together, then I will give you a chance to work through the rest while explaining it to me so I can be sure you've got it.

I generally don't like to give homework as I aim to ensure concepts are consolidated during the lesson however, if my students/ their families ask for it, I'm more than happy to provide some extra work and mark it, ready to review at our next session :)
