For children to understand the basics and the concepts, both visual and auditory processing are important. Thus, I would be using pictures, videos and some of the prescribed books, in order to make them understand the subject.
Histories are interesting when it is taught in right way and instead of making the children read them, I will provide them the story of the subject and see what they understood. If they have any doubts and questions about the topic I would encourage them to ask me without any hesitation.
Maps would also be used to make them understand how the kings conquered the lands and what was the middle ages mind set of kingdoms and politics.
Every last class of the week, I will be having a pop quiz on the history topic of the week, in order for me to see how much they have understood the topic and see how I can improve myself and provide them right material if they need it.
