I set each of my students at a stage on a 4-week course for their subject (intro, intermediate, etc.) These are based on the GCSE specifications and are available for different exam boards.

My tutoring approach is as the following:
I set each of my students at a stage on a 4-week course for their subject (intro, intermediate, etc.) These are based on the GCSE specifications and are available for different exam boards.
The first session will be an induction assessment to gage your level of understanding. Following this, I will send a student report and proposed action plan clearly stating what stage the student will be starting at.
THIS IS NOT AN INDICATOR OF ABILITY, AND IS JUST TO HELP ME TO UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH SUPPORT YOU NEED.
After a couple of sessions, I will send a second report stating whether I think the student should remain at that stage, or move to a different one.
After 4 weeks, students will complete an assessment of their stage. If they achieve a passing grade, they will progress to one that requires more independent study and if they display a need for improvement - they can repeat the assessment after a week's revision. If they still display a need for improvement, I will arrange a couple of weak-area specific sessions with them to help them target this.
Through the course, I will target student's areas of improvement and centre lessons around these.
Sessions are available 1 to 1 and as a group.

I have been privately tutoring since the start of 2022, previously working as a Study Assistant at Kumon. I have worked with children of all ages, from Reception to GCSE. I have also worked with SEN children and I can provide assistant/support with the EHCP process.
