I’m Shreya Gupta, a second year medical student in the UK. I enjoy learning just as much as teaching, and its a great learning opportunity for us both. Considering my medical background, I find teaching science and maths favourable. I also have a good understanding of the recent exam patterns and curriculum, as I have recently done it to0.
I have taught multiple age groups in the past, and have had positive feedback that shaped me into the tutor today. I had the opportunity to work with underprivileged students during COVID and provide personal tutoring, and have also worked with students on the autism spectrum.
I believe that each student needs a different style of teaching, and thus base mine accordingly.
My previous students would describe me as a fun, energetic and engaging tutor, who relies on quizzes and mock tests to keep you engaged. Expect to be on your toes the entire time, and not just sit and listen.
I understand the importance of following and knowing the exam patterns and marking styles, to minimise loss of marks for students. Alongside explaining, I like to formulate my own resources- like notes, whiteboards and flashcards- with tips and tricks learned from personal experiences that you won’t find in a textbook.
Though I believe a normal lesson lasts about 1-2 hours, this is totally dependable on the student themselves.
I look forward to teaching you and learning more about you, while making sure you have fun with my teaching and learn something new!
