I have two younger sisters, one who has just finished her GCSE’s and the other in year 5. I have tutored her through her exams. I myself also having had multiple tutors and am aware of the ways in which they interact with students and teaching methods that will help most.

My approach to tutoring would firstly be to see the level of understanding the student has, by giving them a few questions to try and see how they respond. From there I will try and improve their understanding of said topics by teaching them the syllabus and providing them with easier questions, as they improve I will increase the difficulty of the questions, until I as well as the student is happy with their performance we will move on. It also helps understand the various style of questions given and to pick out important points for similar style questions.
