When teaching topics to kids, I believe the most important part is the base concept and understanding. So would first illustrate and explain concepts using very basic questions, and slowly progress to harder and more complicated problems for practice. I also believe that no student should have any weak or bound spots in their understanding, which is why i would analyse every practice paper, test or piece of work they do to make sure they are confident in all aspects of the topics. When combating a students weak spots, I come up with my own questions I believe would best help the student to progress. I also assign homework based on the different mistakes and attempts of the student.
