Shoko Fujita

Shoko is an excellent teacher! She puts a great amount of care and effort into creating lessons that are as effective as they are enjoyable.I had been teaching myself Japanese for around 4 years through various apps and websites, however I had not progressed much in this time. I decided to sign up for lessons with Shoko, and over the following 8 months my Japanese skills improved exponentially faster than before! The lessons did not feel rushed at all, and by practicing a wide variety of topics, from practicing conversations, reading comprehension, and grammar, my Japanese noticeably improved at a comfortable and constant pace. Shoko is a wonderful and kind person, as well as being a skilled and knowledgeable teacher. I highly recommend taking lessons with her if you wish to improve your Japanese.

Shoko is an exceptionally kind and helpful person, well-suited to be a teacher of Japanese. Her English is excellent, but I found she is careful to encourage learners to speak and develop their own command of Japanese. She is very patient with foreign learners, which is particularly important for a difficult language like Japanese. Shoko’s own Japanese is clear, careful and readily understandable. She is also enthusiastic about Japanese language and culture, and up to date with new developments. In short, I would strongly recommend Shoko as a tutor.

I really enjoyed all my classes with Shoko. She made learning Japanese really interesting and fun, with the right level of challenge too! I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn or improve their Japanese??
