Shlok Verma

I’m a goal oriented and heavily driven 4th Year Computer Science undergraduate on track to a first classification with strong attention to detail. Having performed very well in my University modules makes me uniquely adept at Data Structures & algorithms and Artificial Intelligence. I’m intellectually curious and an exceptional problem-solver. Having so much time for self-learning and introspection due to the pandemic I have successfully applied myself to learning new skills that make me closer to being as industry ready as possible, whether it is AWS educate, game-development courses, Mobile app Development, Web Dev, Jira to name a few. I aimed to spread my skillset as broad as possible as it gave me a lot of experience in testing out things and learn about new ones.
My part-time position at Brillaint Grades as a Computer Science tutor helps bolster my own concepts in OOP and game-dev as I teach Python, Java, Scratch, Unity to kids ages 6 to 19. For a period of time I also helped build a web app dashboard for all tutors for increased efficiency using SQL, JavaScript, AWS.
My teaching methodologies include visual learning, and learning by doing, where I encourage the student to apply key concepts taught in a lesson.
