We will be looking at the texts from the scheme of work and working on themes, motifs as well as the historical significance of the text. We will be analysing the texts and understanding literary devices necessary for understanding poetry. The medium we use will be mostly audio- visual as well as practising writing excerpts enhancing our writing skills.
In my experience, the more critical essays you read the more in depth knowledge of the underlying messages and ideas you come across and keeping an open mind we will be exploring the same keeping in perspective your understanding of the same. I will also be sending few further readings to you for better understanding of the times and the historical impact on the writer/poet on the text.
As a SEN teacher, I help my students to be motivated and develop their interest in the subject. I am very patient and will provide you with ample time to learn at your pace facilitating with resources, if in need. Practising mock tests in the end of learning about a text will be our way to assess how much further we need to practise.
I encourage my students to come up with questions and take the initiative to enhance their understanding. Videos are a great way to learn and using them in lessons enhances understanding. The lessons will totally be designed on the student’s learning style and will be flexible as per their need. I believe that learning takes place where the environment is made to be student centric and that’s where an effective learning happens.
