I am an experienced Primary Teacher and have taught up to KS2 level in numeracy, literacy and biology.
* With almost 20 years teaching under my belt, I'm used to working with all ages and stages. I then became a dedicated online Teacher and taught for over a year remotely. So different! It's been great to test my technical skills (something new for me as well as you to learn all the time!).
* I like to match the pace of my lessons to your energy. If you need time to think things through, it's yours! I'm a massively patient person - no one likes to feel hurried.
*I like sound, colour, animations, illustrations, diagrams - I'll ask what your favourite hobbies or characters or maybe interests are and base lessons around them for you where I can. Hopefully, that way, your learning won't seem so unattached from YOUR understanding and YOUR experiences.
* I organise lessons with an achievable goal (I'll set that out at the start). I'll explain what we will be learning about, how we will be able to do that in the lesson and do a sum-up at the end. We can track your progress together and set the next steps in your learning.
* I want to make your learning enjoyable - not boring. No one takes things in when they're bored - me included!
