I try do work things around the topic using a power point presentation on the topic under study.
starting with the basic introduction and analyzing the previous knowledge helps me move along the along the subject/topic as it goes.
the the topic continues we get to solve basic exercises solving the questions or trying to answer the conceptual questions which helps me understand if my teaching is reaching the student. The basic idea is the aim to achieve maximum understanding on the topic under discussion by the student, by the end of the presentation.
Accordingly, the layout can be designed and questions and sub topics can be formed.
