I am a dedicated educator with a Master of Arts degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management and over eight years’ teaching experience.

I have instructed hundreds of English language learners with various proficiency levels and in different age groups. I have taught adults in government-funded programs, corporate business English students, college students, high school students and elementary school students, both face-to-face and in an online setting.

I am passionate about instructing students and my primary method of teaching is the communicative approach. However, I have employed different teaching methods depending on the level and age of my learners. I believe that a large part of language learning comes through interaction and understanding meaning in context happens in real communication.

My lessons are highly interactive and will include activities employing real-world communication, authentic materials, along with vocabulary and grammar to support topics. I will use resources such as YouTube, TED Talks, scenarios and student experiences and will focus on topics that students want to study.

I will help my students improve their communication skills so they can feel comfortable and confident expressing themselves in English whether at work, in a meeting, making a presentation, at school, travelling abroad or wherever they will need to use their English skills.

I am a keen listener with great interpersonal and organizational skills. I will provide an affable learning environment with learner-centred lessons, where students can develop their abilities and confidence as language learners.
