I have been teaching computing to all levels from GCSE , A Level, BTEC, HND, Undergraduate and Masters degrees for over 30 years until retired completely in 2022. My main areas of expertise are programming, databases and web development but I have taught on every area of computer science. Most of my teaching has been on undergraduate degrees but I have privately tutored students for both GCSE and A level Computing. I am experienced in tutoring both home and foreign students and am happy delivering either online or face-to-face although I feel face-to-face gets better results. I feel I am sympathetic and understanding of the difficulties students often find in their initial introduction to programming and I am experienced in developing stategies to boost their confidence in their abilities.
