Trained in Primary Education, with B.Ed Degree and a Post Graduate Certificate in Special Needs in Education, I have worked in Early Years settings, Primary and Secondary Schools having over 10 years experience as a TA in Secondary main stream schools.
My specialism is in Special Needs in Education in all subject areas, but mainly English and Mathematics at Key Stage 2-3 (that is Primary and Lower Secondary School Students).
As such I have delivered 1 to 1 and small group lessons both in class and in a withdrawal situation, providing and delivering programmes of work to suit the individual student with specific learning difficulties, such as Dyslexia. I am familiar with various diagnostic tests, methods and learning styles, teaching with a multi style approach to engage and inspire. I teach with a child centered approach and with a heart of compassion.
My aim is to provide a friendly service where young students can enjoy their lessons and learn through a varied program of support in the comfort of their own home.
I provide all learning materials required.
I hold a current DBS Certificate and parents can be assured of a professional and dedicated attitude.
I hold a clean driving licence and cover the areas of Flintshire, Deeside and borders with Wrexham, Denbigh and Cheshire. I do not charge for travelling expenses, unless I am expected to travel over 20 miles from my home.
I can also be contacted through my website and on Facebook.
I will endeavor to answer text or email inquiries from parents promptly and will be pleased to discuss your needs for your child in confidence.
Adult students need not inquire, as my focus is on the younger child.
