I am an experienced teacher and have good experience as a private tutor.
I have taught in primary and secondary schools both in the UK and abroad.
My style if teaching emphasises the role of the student as a learner and I encourage openess and curiosity.
I encourage my students to participate and value every contribution, making it possible for students to use their own life experience.
I adapt curriculum material to suit the level of the students. I plan and review my lesson materials and adapt how I am presenting information for my students.
I review our progress and involve the students in how lessons develop. I favour project and group work where it is appropriate.
I use outside professionals/materials to enhance interest and knowledge of real life situations. For instance, student travel,hobbies, and life experiences can enrich learning for everyone.
I encourage my students to use different and interesting ways of recording and presenting their work to increase their confidence and presentational skills.
I like to get to know my students as individuals and honour the individual contributions to our learning experience.
I make lessons enjoyable and seek to make the students education interesting, relevant and challenging.
Whatever the students past performance or learning experience I endeavour to bring the best out of them by honouring and valuing all that we are experiencing together.
