Shawn Fausey

I started tutoring students as a freshmen at Drexel in 2007. I graduated from Drexel University in 2011 with a major in Chemistry Education and obtained my Chemistry teaching certificate in Pennsylvania before moving and becoming a certified chemistry teacher in Delaware. I am currently teaching Chemistry 1 and AP Chemistry at Odessa High School in Townsend, DE in the United States as well as coaching wrestling. I live in Townsend with my wife and 4 children. I have taught high school chemistry and physical science in West Philadelphia and tutored students at Universities like Saint Josephs, Villanova, and Drexel University. My students have had a 100 percent pass rate in AP Chemistry since we started the AP program in out of 14 students in the 23-24 school year earned a 5 on the exam. We beat the state and global scores by over an entire point on the exam. I am highly motivated and enjoy teaching science.

I prefer teaching Chemistry online using zoom so I have the ability to work using a whiteboard and pen to solve problems my students have. Students usually send me problems or topics they want me to discuss/work through with them.

I enjoy teaching introductory Chemistry topics all the way to college level chemistry discussing topics such as thermodynamics, equilibrium, kinetics, and acids and bases. Occasionally I have helped students through lab writing. Chemistry is my passion and I tutor the subject from September to May in the United States. I am looking to expand my sessions globally.
