In the first tutoring session, I like to start by getting to know the student and establishing a rapport. I might begin by asking the student about their goals for the tutoring sessions and their current level of understanding of Maths. This will give me a sense of where to start and how to tailor the session to the student's needs. Next, I might begin with a warm-up activity or some review of previously learned concepts to get the student's brain engaged and ready to learn. For example, I might ask the student to solve a few problems on a specific topic that we will be focusing on in the session.

As we work through the material, I will constantly evaluate the student's progress and understanding. If the student is doing well and grasping the concepts easily, I will move on to introducing new material or increasing the difficulty of the problems. On the other hand, if the student is struggling, I will provide additional examples and explanations, and may also use techniques such as providing clues or breaking the problem down into smaller steps to help the student gain a better understanding.
