I tend to use a powerpoint/ zoom-adjacent platform, that enables for screen sharing as well as jotting necessary notes on the slides. The dynamics are focused on assessing the student’s learning style, and adapting the content they desire to learn to make it easier to digest and comprehend for them. It is not a ‘one size fits all’ method; it’s a ‘what’s your size?’ method! Over the years working with students from KS2 to A-Levels, I have found this method most effective and received the most engagement from the students I have taught. There is also a lot of practise involved, so that the knowledge gained is easily cemented as a core memory/ experience for the students. This method is the influence of my Psychology (A-levels, Grade A*) and Neuroscience (Bachelor’s Degree) qualifications also, that allows me to understand the working human memory. All these influences produce a fine-tuned experience for every student that crosses my path, and each have expressed multiplicities of gratitude for. (Such references can also be granted if there is even a modicum of doubt).
Have faith in me. I will not let you down.
